
Government College Of Engineering,Chandrapur

"Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur" was established in 1996. This is the only Government Institute under R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur. This Government institute is completely funded by Government of Maharashtra. The Institute is under Director of Technical Education, M.S., Mumbai and is administered through its Regional office at Nagpur. Now a days, due to globalization there is stiff competition at the national & International level as well phenomenal growth in the technology.
Pursuit 2011
"Pursuit 2011 ...Quest For Innovation" was national level technical festival of our college. The In-charge of this festival Dr. P. S. Adwani & Prof. G. A. Dhomne contributed sleepless efforts in this festival for making it successful with the help & advice of secretary of this festival Prof. D. V. Rojatkar. In this technical festival various events were organised like Robotics, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Project Presentation, Quiz Competition, Lan Gaming, etc.
Many students from different colleges participated in this festival. Last year this festival was organised for the first time in college & was very successful.
Inaugration Ceremony Of Abhirang-2012
"Abhirang" formerly known as "Tantrotsav", an annual gathering of Government College Of Engineering, Chandrapur is celebrated every year. This year also the gathering was celebrated joyfully. Our chief guest Prof. Indrajeet Bhalerao (Poet & Writer) inaugrated the function by pledging to the statue of saraswati & lighting the lamp. He gave a very powerful speech, shared some his experiences & motivated to the students. Our principal Dr. P. S. Adwani sir also motivate to the students by his thoughts.
In "Abhirang-2012" different cultural activities had been conducted like Singing, Dancing, Dramas, One-minute Show, Dumb Charades, Ramp Show, etc. The function ended up with a Clip Presentation & D. J. Night.
